We are seeking an experienced Engineering Change Control (ECC) Subject Matter Expert to support projects with Ontario Power Generation. The successful candidate will provide expert-level guidance, oversight, and execution support for engineering change activities within OPG’s established ECC framework.
Location: Pickering
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 2 remote days per week
Duration: 1 yr
Key Requirements:
- 8–10 years of relevant industry experience, with direct, hands‑on use of OPG’s Engineering Change Control process.
- Experience may come from external design agencies working with OPG or direct employment/contracting with the utility.
- Strong understanding of OPG engineering governance, design change workflows, documentation standards, and interfacing processes.
- Ability to advise, review, and support teams in ECC submission development, technical justification, change package preparation, and lifecycle management.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for OPG’s ECC process, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Provide guidance on process steps, documentation requirements, and best practices.
- Assist in troubleshooting ECC process issues and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Interface with internal stakeholders, design authorities, and external engineering teams as needed.
- Support Framatome governance changes/upgrades
