Pay Rate: Up to $24.00/hr on W2, depending on experience

Work Type: Onsite – City of Industry, CA 90601

Work Schedule: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm | Overtime

Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.

Raise is currently hiring a Technology Quality Technician on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.



Job Overview:

Under minimum supervision, verify engineering requirements of completed assemblies, including using various measuring tools, and accurate recording of results. This position maintains a computer data filing system for traceability documentation for all product lines. The Technology Quality Technician is responsible for conducting quality control activities, including inspections, tests and results reporting. The Technology Quality Technician combines practical skills with understanding of the overall Quality Management System and the impact of nonconformances on the performance of equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of application of compliance to internal (QMS) and external management systems (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 21, and ISO 9001).
  • End-of-line quality inspection of parts, raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished units for dimensional, chemical, and mechanical characteristics, along with verification of traceability and conformance documentation, according to engineering drawings/specifications and quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerance applications of dimensional drawings, industry standards (ASTM, ANSI, ASME, MIL SPEC), and material specifications using Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, Comparators, Surface Plates, Torque Wrenches, Hardness Testers, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Vision System, XRF Alloy Analyzer, OES Alloy Analyzer, and FT-IR Material Comparator.
  • Application and verification of customer requirements for finished product and spare parts during Final Inspection before shipment.
  • Generating and maintaining accurate records of all activities.
  • Assist with the scanning of documents into the electronic document storage system.
  • Maintain and update Quality Assurance/Control files.
  • Utilize local software and SAP to complete transactions (training provided).
  • Inspect documentation, parts, components, materials, subassemblies and equipment against stated specifications, using measurement systems with valid calibration and acceptable repeatability and reproducibility. Comply with applicable inspection procedures and standard work.
  • Perform manufacturing and engineering tests in compliance with applicable procedures and standard work.
  • Assist in designing tests and fixtures and their set-up.
  • Ensure all inspection and test activities are conducted safely. Participate in creation and review of Hazard Analysis and Risk Control for these activities.
  • When authorized, perform calibration of measurement systems.
  • Be familiar with inspection and test procedures, standard work and test plans, and provide input to continuously improve them.
  • Document the results of inspections and tests. Verify the stability of results over time, as feasible.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.
  • Perform other Quality Control/Assurance/Control projects and/or duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • One or more years of experience in typing and filing, preferably in an Inspection or Quality Assurance/Control environment.
  • Normal courtesy and tact in dealing with all Company and Customer personnel for whom services are performed.
  • Experience verifying materials and processes using interpretation of ISO/IEC, ASTM, ANSI, ASME, MIL SPEC, NQA-1, IEEE, and / or AS specifications and requirements is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to aerospace, military, or nuclear-supporting industries is beneficial.
  • Ability to write clear correspondence, follow written and verbal instructions, and confidently present information to customers, clients, and team members in one-on-one or small group settings.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment to follow instructions (written, oral, or diagrammatic) and resolve routine problems involving multiple variables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word processing and Excel spreadsheet software.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
  • Dedicated to achieving results and providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player who takes initiative and works well with others.
  • Highly flexible with the ability to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Committed to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety protocols (PPE will be provided).
