Elevator Worker
- Pay Rate: $20/hour (on W2)
- Work Schedule: 7am – 3:30 pm
Raise is currently hiring an Elevator Worker in Grand Legde, MI on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Job Overview
The Elevator Worker supports daily grain handling and facility operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service. This role involves operating equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with general maintenance while adhering to the client’s safety standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Dump and load grain from railcars and trucks
- Operate grain dryers and related equipment
- Assist with grain handling and storage processes
- Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean and orderly facility
- Support routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a zero-injury workplace culture
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet operational goals
- Maintain a professional, positive, and respectful attitude at all times
- Adhere to work schedules, including overtime and weekend shifts as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with established procedures
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Physically capable of performing job duties, including prolonged standing and sitting, working at heights and in confined spaces, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs unassisted
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
