Electrical Assembler

Pay Rate: $19.50/hour on W2, depending on experience

Work Type: Onsite – Sugar Land, TX 77478

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 am – 2:00 pm | Weekends as needed

Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.

Raise is currently hiring an Electrical Assembler on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Job Overview:

Responsible for the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of all product lines. This role involves using specialized tools and blueprints to ensure mechanical parts meet exact specifications while driving continuous improvement through established manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components across all product lines.
  • Select correct tools and fixtures for each task.
  • Test assembled products to ensure functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
  • Maintain the ability to read blueprints and identify specific components.
  • Use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques effectively.
  • Operate equipment, dimensioning, and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Create labor records for all transactions.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
  • IPC-610 certification required.
  • Experience in circuit board assembly (PWA)
  • Assembly and soldering of printed circuit boards.
  • Competency in English.
  • Ability to read design drawings.
  • Electronic component identification.
  • Identification of solder defects.
  • Understanding of quality standards.
  • Ability to follow standard procedures.
  • Ability to use a microscope for long periods of time.
