  • Contract Length: 7 Months
  • Location: McArthur River, Saskatchewan
  • Fly In Fly Out Camp accommodations provided
  • Rotation (2 weeks in-2weeks out, 11 hours a day)
  • Company Charter Flights provided – Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
  • Contractors are expected to travel to Saskatoon for chartered flights to camp sites.

Raise is currently hiring a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Coordinator on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a Canadian global leader in exploration, mine engineering, and environmental protection.

Description 

The QA/QC Coordinator within the Technical Services (TS) department is responsible for overseeing the quality of construction and maintenance activities for site-based projects. This role ensures that all fabricators, vendors, and construction teams deliver assets that meet ’s specifications, regulatory codes, and overall safety requirements. Operating with a high degree of independence within a larger project team, you will act as the primary gatekeeper for quality, from the initial review of contractor plans to the final turnover of the constructed asset.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the quality of work performed by construction personnel
  • Oversee directly or indirectly the activities of various fabricators, vendors and work teams to ensure the constructed asset meets the expected specifications and overall quality requirements
  • Reviews and approves all inspection and test plans provided by contractors
  • Responsible for reviewing each construction contractor’s quality management plan at the start of construction
  • Monitors the quality control program throughout construction and ensures the inspection and test plan is followed for the work
  • Actively manages and coordinates construction deficiencies with the CMT and contractor personnel
  • Coordinates construction turnover at the end of the construction phase
  • Highly independent style of work in a larger project team

Qualifications

  • 4 to 9yrs of ands-on experience with industrial systems.
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS) & Documentation with demonstrated ability to audit contractor documentation to ensure alignment with project specifications and regulatory "codes and standards.
  • Construction Oversight & Deficiency Management -experience "closing the loop"—identifying a deviation from specifications, coordinating with the Construction Management Team (CMT), and ensuring the contractor remediates the issue. Experience managing "Punch Lists" or deficiency logs through to final resolution.
  • Experience in Project Turnover (CVP/Top-Down) – Successful completion of turnover packages for large-scale industrial assets.
  • Administrative Technical Proficiency (SharePoint & O365) -Proficiency in SharePoint and Office 365 is required to manage the high volume of digital ITPs, approvals, and reports.
  •  Education and Certifications
  • Journeyperson ticket in an Electrical/Instrumentation (E/I) or Mechanical trade
