Raise is proactively building a talent pool of Electricians for upcoming permanent opportunities with a leading industrial manufacturing organization in the Edmonton region.
We are interested in connecting with candidates at all levels, including:
- Apprentice Level 1–4 Electricians
- 5th Period Apprentices
- Journeyperson Electricians
- Red Seal Electricians
These opportunities may support technically complex manufacturing, industrial infrastructure, advanced mechanical systems, and mission-critical operational environments.
Potential Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to support electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities
- Install, terminate, and test conduit systems, cables, electrical equipment, panels, sensors, and control devices
- Support the fabrication and assembly of electrical control panels and control systems
- Perform rough-in and final wiring of electrical and control circuits
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical power distribution systems, motors, and associated control devices
- Support inspection, testing, commissioning, and system verification activities
- Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Follow manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, and installation procedures
- Participate in lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical isolation, and safe work procedures
- Complete work orders, inspection reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation
- Assist in training and mentoring apprentices and junior team members
- Maintain compliance with company safety standards and provincial occupational health and safety regulations
Ideal Background
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or technically complex environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Experience with electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices, codes, and standards
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working independently and within team environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Apprentice Registration in the Electrical trade
- Alberta Journeyperson Electrician Certification considered an asset
- Red Seal endorsement considered an asset
- Experience with electrical control panels, automation systems, or industrial controls considered an asset
- Experience supporting industrial infrastructure, manufacturing operations, or mission-critical environments considered an asset
- Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) standards considered an asset
- LOTO, Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform, WHMIS, or other safety certifications considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts and overtime may be required
- Work may be performed within manufacturing facilities, industrial environments, or active construction settings
- Exposure to noise, moving equipment, varying temperatures, and production-related hazards may occur
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry materials and equipment
- Strict adherence to PPE requirements and safety procedures is required
