  • Pay Rate: $90K – $100K Base Yearly

Sales Manager – Food Ingredients (Latin America)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive our sales efforts in the food ingredients sector, with a primary focus on the Latin American market. The ideal candidate will have in-depth understanding of the dehydrated vegetables and spice industry, a proven track record in food ingredients sales, and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that contribute to the growth and success of our company.

This role will manage and grow customer relationships across Latin America. The position can be home-based from any location, provided the candidate has demonstrated experience selling into the LATAM region and is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

To succeed in this position, you should be a team player, comfortable analyzing and utilizing data, navigating SAP, attending food ingredient trade shows, and personally visiting customers to build rapport and generate business.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy
  2. Implement and execute appropriate sales strategies to achieve sales targets and business objectives within the Latin American market.
  3. Customer Relationship Management
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers across LATAM, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. When required, be available to work weekends or outside the traditional 9–5 schedule.
  5. Product Knowledge
  6. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of spice and dehydrated vegetable products, including geographic sourcing locations, quality challenges, applications, and market dynamics relevant to Latin America.
  7. Sales Forecasting & Reporting
  8. Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to the executive team to support strategic decision-making.
  9. Negotiation & Contract Management
  10. Negotiate commercial agreements with customers, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining long-term partnerships.
  11. Customer Feedback & Market Intelligence
  12. Gather and communicate customer feedback and regional market insights to internal teams to support continuous improvement and product development.
  13. Travel & Industry Engagement
  14. Participate in food ingredient trade shows, industry events, and customer visits throughout Latin America as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of sales management experience within the spice, dehydrated vegetables, or food ingredients industry
  • Proven experience selling into the Latin American market
  • Fluency in Portuguese and Spanish (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of spice industry sourcing, quality standards, and market trends
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Experience working with SAP preferred
