Full Time Position Scope & Responsibilities:
Our client is seeking a dedicated, passionate team member for immediate opportunities as an Architectural Designer experienced in commercial projects, senior living, hospitality, multi-family, residential housing and mix use.
The successful candidate for this role will be a self-motivated and well-organized individual with a solid grasp of the technical aspects of Architecture and a propensity for design. Demonstrating a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and flexibility as a team player, they will engage in a variety of tasks while working with inhouse mentors to advance their professional development, particularly in the Senior Living product type. The ideal candidate should have comprehensive experience in traditional architectural project delivery stages (SD, DD, CD & CA), proficiency in computer-aided design (preferably Revit), and modeling and rendering abilities. In addition to coordinating project design and developing creative concepts, they will independently handle architectural design projects, providing training, feedback, and collaboration with junior designers. Responsibilities also include collaborating with senior management, understanding project goals, and assisting in project management tasks such as client account management, project scheduling, and budgeting. A strong understanding of design and presentation software is essential for this multifaceted role.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Must be comfortable working in a team-oriented, creative, collaborative environment spending time working with other architectural designers while utilizing design skills for space planning, project drawings, renderings and presentation graphics.
• The ability to take direction and work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and visual communication skills.
• Knowledge and competency in software packages including current versions of Revit, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), Google SketchUp, Microsoft Office, Figma, 3DMax, etc.
• Possess an understanding of three-dimensional forms and models.
• Strong design and visualization skills.
• Open to learning the programmatic and space-planning requirements of Senior Living project typologies.
• Exhibit the ability to provide design solutions and the use of various methods of delivery/presentation to clients and team members.
• Visual skills to understand and develop design solutions, hand sketching ability a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and participate in several capacities or projects simultaneously, each in different phases.
• Initiative and willingness to be responsible for specific tasks.
• Focus, efficiency, and dependability; willingness to assist when needed.
• Enthusiasm and eagerness for continued education and development of new skills.
Other Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience.
• Architectural Degree from an accredited College and higher.
• Licensure preferred but not required.
• Professional experience in an Architectural design office and experience using 3D modeling as a design tool.
• Prior experience in hospitality, senior living, mixed-use and/or residential projects is a plus
