QA/QC Inspector (Chemistry)
Pay Rate: Up to $26.00/hr on W2, depending on experience
Work Type: Onsite – Pasadena, TX 77507
Duration: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors
Work Schedule is as follows:
- 7 days on from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm, followed by 7 days off
- 7 nights on from 6:00 pm – 6:00 am, followed by 3 days off
- 4 short nights on from 8:00 pm – 6:00 am, followed by 7 days off
Raise is currently hiring a QA/QC Inspector (Chemistry) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- Performs inspection of various operations activities.
- Identifies and reports non- conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods.
- May perform final adjustments.
- Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
- May be responsible for conducting the magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts and initiating and processing non-conformance reports.
- Assures that all products and processes represent the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a high school diploma or GED and a minimum 1 years of experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field (i.e. biochem, chemical engineering) is required.
- 3-5 years experience which includes Quality and/or Industry experience is preferred.
- Multi-tasking.
- Basic MS functions (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Basic chemistry.
- Effective communication.
- Open to constructive criticism.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Knowledge that this is an entry-level position
