Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated ETRM Technical Business Specialist I – TIS Systems for a direct hire position located in Houston, TX. This role is integral to supporting project integration activities for new lines of business, transitioning to operational support upon project completion. As part of the Enterprise Marketing and Risk Management (MRM) team, you will provide subject matter expertise and guidance on the functional and technical aspects of the complex MRM application suite, including Openlink Endur/Findur, Egistix Oil, and Kyriba. Key Responsibilities:
* Conceptualize, manage, and participate in strategic multi-year, enterprise-wide projects and initiatives, leveraging the enterprise’s commercial, technical, operational, and intellectual capital.
* Participate in the delivery of projects within the MRM Systems projects portfolio, ensuring scope, approach, and governance are aligned with business and IT transformation drivers.
* Engage in business strategy and future direction planning for the MRM Systems team and associated applications.
* Document and communicate business specifications for proposed solutions.
* Support project/program ramp-up activities, engaging with cross-functional program teams, internal business stakeholders, and external technical partners, vendors, and consultants.
* Provide technical guidance through the process of defining business requirements, solution and SI Request for Information/Request for Proposal, evaluation, joint solutions, and contract negotiations.
* Contribute to the MRM strategic direction and vision by providing input into the development and implementation of MRM’s vision, goals, and objectives.
* Offer strategic guidance, coordination, and subject matter business expertise to support Enterprise Risk clients in their day-to-day usage of Openlink Endur/Findur and associated systems.
Qualifications:
* 7 – 10+ years of dynamic experience in IT processes, business management, and/or project management.
* Practical experience in theories, principles, and operational practices in IT, Commodity Marketing, and/or Risk Management. Candidates with a background in Marketing and/or Risk Management are preferred.
* Experience in a Business Analyst, Business Specialist, or Subject Matter Expert capacity, with the ability to quickly comprehend business requirements and provide comprehensive recommendations.
* Strong aptitude and communication skills for leading and acting independently.
* Proven interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influence, and leadership skills.
* Demonstrated ability to be innovative, initiate, facilitate, and lead change.
* Working knowledge of Openlink Endur/Findur is preferred.
