We’re Hiring! Our key client is hiring and looking to add Scale Attendant to their team. Please check the description below and reach out for more details if you are interested.
Pay Rate: $19.28/hour on W2
Work Type: Onsite – Indianapolis, IN 46221
Training: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Post-training: Could shift to 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Duration: 2-month contract (with possible extension)
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate scale house computer to weigh trucks, monitor inbound/outbound activity, and maintain records (tickets, manifests, supplies).
* Provide clear, friendly, and professional instructions to visitors and new drivers.
* Read numbers at a distance and accurately enter data into the scale system.
* Handle general upkeep of the scale house and nearby areas; support special projects as needed.
* Keep supervisor informed of issues requiring attention.
* Report promptly for each scheduled shift.
* Work independently in the scale house Mon-Fri, with occasional Saturday mornings and cover weekday time-off as needed.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills (CB, radio, phone, internal systems).
* Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
* Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
* Basic computer skills required.
* Ability to read and follow instructions.
* Ability to occasionally lift items over 35 lbs.
General Plant Requirements:
* Completion of site safety orientation training before work begins.
