PeopleSoft Functional Lead
- Pay Rate: $112.00/hour, depending on experience

Raise is currently hiring a PeopleSoft Functional Lead on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of Canada's top comprehensive research Universities
Note: The primary pay rate is based on the rate for an incorporated contractor who owns their own business. However, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in a T4 arrangement, where applicable.
Description
The PeopleSoft Functional Lead in this role will be responsible a project involving replacing the current Research Management System – Converis application and implementing the PeopleSoft Grants and Contracts modules. This will require an in-depth understanding of integral components in FSCM. This role will start on January 26, 2026 and report to the PeopleSoft Applications Architect in the ERP Systems & Services group in IT. Term: 12 months
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the PeopleSoft Grants and Contracts modules.
- Confirm and elaborate system requirements from both Research and Finance portfolios
- Develop functional specifications for system enhancements and integrations.
- Oversee data conversion and mapping from third-party systems to PeopleSoft.
- Provide support and guidance for testing, including test planning and defect management
- Provide support and guidance for training, including planning and set up of delivery environments
- Collaborate with a large and diverse group of project stakeholders, to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Ensure the library of project documentation are maintained and communicated to the consultants, developers and the entire team
- Mentor and guide university functional team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure the project meets its objectives within the defined timeline and budget.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2, including Grants and Contracts modules, ideally with recent updates (Image 49) and PeopleTools 8.60
- Demonstrated experience in fit-gap analysis and developing functional specifications.
- Strong background in data conversion and mapping from third-party systems to PeopleSoft.
- Preferable experience with Gideon Taylor eForms.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop functional team members.
- Familiarity with the Converis application.
- Education and Skills
- Bachelors Degree in computer science, Information technology or related field
- Certifications in Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – PeopleSoft, PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) (nice to have)
Additional Information
- Expected work hours are 100% FTE role with a maximum of 160 hrs per month. We expect that the PeopleSoft Functional Lead will be at 100% capacity on the Project.
