What you will be doing:
As the new Project Manager, you will report directly to the Operation Manager and provide project leadership for major commercial design, construction, expansion, extension, renovation, supply, or component replacement projects.
Practically speaking, you will be:
- Prepare project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives.
- Utilize approved project management methods and processes to execute high risk projects of existing technology and methods to meet client needs and expectations.
- Provide primary interface between project team, management and client.
- Develop assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.
- Coordinate multiple project activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials and equipment; utilize team building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance.
- Define and forecast needed skills to meet project objectives.
- Manage the timely issuance and payment of customer invoices.
- Utilize existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
- Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities.
- Provide project leadership for major commercial design, construction, expansion, extension, renovation, supply or component replacement projects.
- Prepare project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives.
The details:
This is a contract project management position based in Pickering, Ontario, requiring office presence with the flexible work hours. The client offers a competitive hourly pay and a flexible hybrid work schedule. Additionally, you'll enjoy the opportunity to work in a casual and friendly environment.
What you will bring:
- 8+ years of strong Project Management experience in the nuclear industry (preferable)
- Highly familiarity with OPG repharbishing project
- Proven leadership skills to manage cost, schedule, and scope. Experience with P6 and cost management tools like PRS and SAP.
- Experience at Ontario Power Generation (OPG)
- Engineering & Construction Management Experience with OPG. Knowledge about OPG ECC process is a plus.
- Engineering Degree is preferred.
