Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

  • Pay Rate: $18.73/hour on W2
  • Contract Length: 3 months
  • Location: North Kingstown, RI 02852 (Onsite)
  • Work Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 2:55 PM – 10:55 PM 

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

  • The Machine Operator will operate various card production equipment to personalize debit/credit cards according to customer specifications.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with other operators, technicians, and supervisory staff to achieve daily and monthly production goals.
  • The role requires performing minor equipment maintenance, quality inspections, and identifying potential production or quality issues, recommending corrective or contingency actions.
  • Compliance with all security and production policies is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate card production equipment and related activities.
  • Confirm work receipt and implement work priority decisions.
  • Exceed production output and quality standards.
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance and adjustments per instructions.
  • Conduct quality inspections independently to meet production standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Identify and recommend solutions for potential production and quality problems.
  • Collaborate with operators, technicians, and supervisors to maintain an effective work environment.
  • Ensure awareness of and compliance with security and production policies/procedures.
  • Maintain workstation housekeeping standards and order supplies as needed.
  • Attend required training and meetings.
  • Meet all safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to establish credibility, make decisions, and support organizational priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of mechanical experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience with safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Intermediate computer skills.

Physical Demands

  • Required to stand and operate a machine for 6+ hours per day.
