Field Operator – Part Time
- Pay Rate: $36.44 to$ 43.89/hour, depending on experience

Raise is currently hiring 2 part time Field Operators on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Field Operators primary responsibility will be to effectively participate as a team member in the operation and maintenance of our gas and oil wells and facilities. The operations team ensures the maximum performance of mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical while managing the day-to-day operation of sweet wells, pipelines, multi-well batteries, field booster compressors, and gas facilities. This is a part time role, and the shift is 8 days on and 6 days off working a 2-to-4-hour workday and willing to take callouts as required. It is an asset for the successful candidate to reside in or around Cold Lake (Cherry Grove, Beaver River, Ardmore).
Responsibilities
- Support and comply with the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of CVE's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System
- Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. Models and coaches on behaviors to help a safety culture in which unsafe acts and/or conditions, no matter in what area of responsibility, are to be reported so corrective actions can be taken
- Understand and perform safety, environmental and regulatory responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lockout, emergency response and implement safe work procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot process equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform housekeeping, performance monitoring and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in oil and gas operating with a Strong field/plant operating background
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills
- Able to Utilize computer programs without assistance (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SCADA, Outlook and SAP)
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (drivers abstract is required)
- Preferred Qualifications
- Valid and updated safety tickets (First Aid, CPR, TDG, WHMIS and H2S certifications)
- GPO and/or PFO is an asset
- Education and Skills
- Strong team player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to champion change

- As this is a safety Sensitive Role Pre-access substance testing will be required
