Technical Specialist – SAP Build Work Zone & Fiori
- Pay Rate: $70.48/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 6 Months

Raise is currently hiring a Technical Specialist – SAP Build Work Zone & Fiori on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Technical Specialist – SAP Build Work Zone & Fiori will join the Digital Workplace team. This role is pivotal in modernizing our enterprise user experience by leveraging the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of integrated solutions using SAP Build Work Zone, Fiori, and SAP Mobile Start. The successful candidate will ensure that the workforce has a seamless, intuitive, and mobile-ready interface to access both SAP and non-SAP applications, driving productivity and digital adoption across the organization.
Responsibilities
- SAP Build Work Zone & Integration
- Workspace Customization: Configure and customize Work Zone to deliver personalized, role-based digital workspaces.
- UI Card Development: Design, develop, and integrate UI Integration Cards to provide dynamic, "at-a-glance" content and actionable insights directly on the home page.
- System Connectivity: Ensure seamless integration between Work Zone and various SAP (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors) and non-SAP backend systems.
- Fiori Application Development
- Custom Development: Design and build custom SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, JavaScript, and OData services.
- Optimization: Focus on application performance, high usability, and responsive design to ensure a consistent experience across devices.
- Standards Compliance: Implement industry best practices for SAP UX and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Mobile Strategy & SAP Mobile Start
- Deployment: Configure and deploy SAP Mobile Start as the primary entry point for mobile users.
- Security: Ensure secure mobile integration with backend systems, following ’s cybersecurity and mobile device management protocols.
- Training & Adoption (SAP Enable Now)
- Content Creation: Develop interactive learning content, simulations, and in-app guidance using SAP Enable Now.
- Contextual Help: Embed tutorials and "help" fragments to support user onboarding and reduce support tickets.
- Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Partner with functional business analysts to translate complex requirements into technical specifications.
- Provide troubleshooting support and performance tuning for the SAP BTP environment.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and lead knowledge transfer sessions for internal IT staff.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in SAP development, with a specific focus on SAP UX and Cloud technologies.
- Deep understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform services and environment.
- Proficiency in SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Hands-on experience developing and consuming OData services via SAP Gateway.
- Proven track record of configuring SAP Build Work Zone (Standard or Advanced editions).
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration). (Nice-to-Haves)
- Familiarity with SAP BTP security concepts (XSUAA, Role Collections, and Identity Authentication Service). (Nice-to-Haves)
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Build Work Zone or SAP Certified Development Associate – SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori.( preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written skills for documenting solutions and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Information
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
- Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
