Data Analyst – Expert
- Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (4 days onsite)
- Contract Length: 12 Months with Possibilities of Extension.

Responsibilities :
- A typical day involves project work and business/data analysis, including designing and documenting data flows, data quality/validation monitors, and curating internal consumer data products.
- The role also entails regular communication and collaboration with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in financial services, investment, or asset management.
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, including queries, joins, and data extraction.
- Strong understanding of investment management concepts (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives, mutual funds).
- Experience with Visio or Lucid, and Jira.
- Prior business analysis (BA) experience and familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies like waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid models
- Knowledge of release and incident management is also advantageous.
Nice to have skills:
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau (highly prefer).
- Experience with systems such as BNY Eagle Investment Accounting, Charles River, SimCorp, or Bloomberg.
- Exposure to Databricks or Snowflake
