Position – Director of Operations
- Pay Rate: $150K – $170K Base Yearly
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
Raise is currently hiring a permanent, full-time team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Direct the overall plant activities i.e. production processing, packaging, maintenance, engineering and shipping
-Oversee plant flow to ensure effective procedures and financial efficiencies
-Develop and implement new production strategies for efficiency and product margin growth through ongoing Continuous Process Improvements
-Maintain and upgrade all plant equipment to ensure proper daily functions and prepare for future production growth
-Analyze the finance, budgeting and implementation for all plant operations
-Manage and oversee all daily functions performed by all managers and supervisors
-Ensure staff follows procedural protocols and use effective disciplinary actions when needed
-Establish high standards for managers by providing assignments that showcase performance and provide growth opportunities with regular feedback
-Assess proper promotions, salary increases and terminations as needed
-Control allocation and use of personnel to ensure fulfillment of production schedules in a cost-effective manner
-Maintain proper staffing levels
-Conduct regular scheduled departmental meetings, enhancing communication throughout the plant
-Collaborate well with all managers and staff
-Implement plant safety programs and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP’s and Quality systems
-Ensure that appropriate SOP’s are developed and maintained for all aspects of the business
-Develop any required procedural and/or safety compliance programs for third party audits to ensure proper compliance
-Develop and maintain effective recall procedures and process flow from incoming to outgoing goods
-Implement any food security preventive measures and routinely auditing, manufacturing, handling and storage of all food ingredients as well as finished goods
REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelors Degree
-Minimum of 10 years experience within Food Manufacturing Environment with minimum of 5 years being in a Leadership role
