Hybrid Interaction/Visual Designer
- Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid – (In office 4 days per week, WFH 1 day a week)
- Pay Rate: $49.04/Hr – $57.89/Hr
- Contract Length: 12 months with possibilities of extension.

Responsibilities:
- Be the consistent day-to-day designer dedicated to a squad that includes a content designer, researcher, and supporting visual designer who may be shared across multiple squads. With support and guidance from their Design Lead, they are responsible for communicating and managing the day-to-day design needs of the squad and act as a key partner to the product owner.
- Own the interaction and visual design deliverables for the team, from early-stage concepting through to final, ready-for-development design files.
- Participate in design research and data-led design approaches to inform decision-making.
- Be accountable for meeting accessibility requirements, adhering to visual brand guidelines, and ensuring designs effectively leverage the design system.
- Collaborate with marketing partners to ensure visual design consistency across public sites.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including product managers, project managers, business analysts, developers, and quality assurance teams.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and team rituals.
Must have skills:
- 2+ years of product design experience, with a strong background in interaction design, visual design, or a combination of both.
- Experience designing for public-facing digital platforms such as retail marketing, e-commerce, or content-driven websites across responsive web and mobile experiences.
- Experience working on large-scale websites, retail, or e-commerce platforms.
- Proficiency in Figma
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and Illustrator
- Web design skills
Nice to have skills:
- Background in graphic design
- Web Development knowledge- Nice to have
- Experience collaborating with product managers, business analysts, project managers, developers, and quality engineering teams within a large organization.
- Experience creating user journeys, wireframes, and information architecture to support complex user flows.
