Test Engineer II
- Pay Rate: $43.79/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 10 months with a high possibility of extension or conversion
- Location: Orlando, FL 32822 (Onsite)
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The Test Engineer II will join a collaborative 10-person team responsible for the design and development of test software and hardware (adapters/cables) for automated and semi-automated test systems.
- The First 90 Days: Focus on training and troubleshooting existing test sets for production.
- Long-Term: Transition into independent project work and hardware/software solution development for IFEC products and systems.
Responsibilities
- Solution Development: Design and develop LRU and SRU test software and hardware (Level 1, 2, and 3 testing).
- Troubleshooting: Analyze tests and logs for products and resolve hardware obsolescence issues.
- Documentation: Release drawings and project documents in the document repository system (Team Center).
- Communication: Coordinate with stakeholders via JIRA and MS Teams; support contract manufacturers and repair stations.
- Financial Impact: Define scope of work (hours/effort/cost) and manage procurement (RFQs/PRs) for test tools.
Top 3 Required Skills
- NI LabVIEW / TestStand: Strong experience developing and troubleshooting automated sequences.
- C Programming: Solid proficiency is mandatory for this role.
- Networking Protocols: Deep knowledge of Ethernet, IP/MAC addressing, VLAN, and Serial interfacing.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree + 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
- OS/Software: Windows 7/10/11, Linux, Visual Studio.
- Hardware Tools: Spectrum Analyzers, Power meters, Audio analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
- Ideal Profile: A 50/50 split between Hardware and Software experience (though a software-heavy lean is acceptable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Python, Android, or SAP/JIRA knowledge.
- Version control (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with ARINC standards, Digital/RF test techniques, or NTSC video standards.
