Senior Service Design Consultant (Wealth Management)

Raise is currently hiring a Senior Service Design Consultant (Wealth Management) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a market-leading financial institution
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Service Design Consultant will work closely with senior leadership to scale and enhance our clients' wealth management offers. If you are a Master of Service blueprints and have a deep pedigree in Wealth Management distribution, we want to hear from you. You will be the architect behind our future-state Wealth Distribution model, bridging the gap between high-level strategy and the granular details of business process design.
The Deliverables
As a contractor in this role, your success will be measured by the delivery of:
- Service Blueprint Summary Report: Covering critical journeys and prioritized Op Model opportunities.
- Process Design Report: Detailed L2/L3 maps, KPIs/SLAs, and interaction models.
- Implementation Plan: A full roadmap including risk mitigation, costs, and resourcing.
- Change Impact Assessment: A persona-based view of the transition.
What You’ll Do
You will lead the design of our target service blueprint and detailed future-state Level 2/Level 3 (L2/L3) business processes. Your mission is to capture critical user journeys and prioritize operating model opportunities across People, Process, and Technology.
1. Target Service Blueprint & Operating Model
Facilitate workshops to develop target state blueprints for the wealth offer(s) lifecycle.
Map critical journeys, identifying data domains required for a seamless, personalized user experience.
Determine and prioritize operating model opportunities that impact our technology roadmap.
Design functional capabilities across Advisors, Associates, Operations, Compliance, and Technology.
2. Detailed Process Design & Workflow
Create L2/L3 process maps, including key controls, segregation of duties, and exception flows.
Design the interaction model for trade processing workflows among key players.
Identify opportunities for process automation and review managed services/outsourcing options.
3. Implementation Roadmap & Governance
Draft a comprehensive implementation timeline, identifying the critical path and dependencies.
Develop a program charter and governance structure (Steerco, Design Authority, RACIs).
Provide high-level cost estimates and resourcing plans.
4. Change Management Strategy
Assess high-level change impacts for key personas (Advisors, associates, leadership, support teams).
Develop a change management strategy and training plan to ensure high adoption across Wealth Distribution.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of Wealth Management experience, with a heavy preference for experience working with investment dealers in wealth management.
- Proven track record of designing complex Service Blueprints and L2/L3 business processes.
- Exceptional ability to work independently and influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Facilitation Skills: You are a pro at running design sessions and workshops that drive consensus and actionable outcomes.
- Organizational Power: Strong project management background; you can navigate risks, dependencies, and complex timelines with ease.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with wealth management technical requirements.
- Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or Service Design
- CIM (Chartered Investment Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
- Series 7 / Series 66 (US) or CSC/CPH (Canada) Nice to Have
- PMP (Project Management Professional
- PROSCI or ACMP (Change Management) Nice to have
