Raise is currently hiring a Project Manager for the Strategic Customer Projects for Distribution Design Customer Connections team on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description 

As a Project Manager within the Distribution Design and Customer Connections (DDCC) group, you will play a pivotal role in powering British Columbia’s growth. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic, high-profile customer connection projects. This is a fast-paced role that requires managing a large volume of time-sensitive assignments while navigating the complexities of a major utility environment.

You will act as the central hub between internal technical teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that mandated timelines are met and that the organizaitons infrastructure evolves to meet the needs of our diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project management activities including planning, managing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks by using advanced skills in Microsoft Office as well as project management programs to fulfill business needs.
  • Work with our internal delivery partners in Distribution Design, Engineering, Line Field Operations, Construction Services, Program Contract Management, Environment, Indigenous Relations and Safety to successfully deliver the program. 
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain strong influential working relationships with key operational groups within the organization including Key Accounts.
  • Monitor, forecast, control, and report on monthly program progress while providing project status updates to all relevant Stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans and risk management plans for low to medium risk infrastructure or other construction projects with a capital cost that is generally up to $20 million for effective management throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of proven project or program management experience, with technical knowledge in a relevant field (Engineering, Sciences, Trades, or Business) with a broad understanding of interdisciplinary dependencies.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-value, high-complexity projects, preferably within a utility, engineering, or construction sector.
  • understanding of project management principles, various delivery models, and sophisticated contracting strategies.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Tableau to forecast trends, manage budgets, and visualize data.
  • Exceptional oral and written skills, must be able to translate complex technical data into clear updates for non-technical audiences.
  • Education and Skills 
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field. (A mix of equivalent education and extensive experience will be considered).
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) designation or equivalent.

Additional Information 

  • Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
  • Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
