Raise is currently hiring an Engineering Project Coordinator on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada.

Description

The Engineering Project Coordinator in this role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability of British Columbia’s energy infrastructure by coordinating the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for electricity generation equipment. You will work closely with Project Managers to bridge the gap between technical engineering requirements and operational execution, ensuring that asset management and safety initiatives are delivered on time and within scope.

Responsibilities            

  • Project Coordination & Tracking
  • Planning & Execution: Support the Project Manager in scheduling and tracking project milestones, deliverables, and resource utilization.
  • Documentation: Maintain high-standard project files, including action logs, change logs, meeting minutes, and standardized folder structures.
  • Communication: Facilitate alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders; organize workshops and technical reviews.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular status updates and dashboards to keep leadership informed of progress and potential risks.
  • Technical Maintenance & Asset Management
  • Maintenance Programs: Coordinate the rollout of preventive maintenance programs for high-value generation assets.
  • Asset Lifecycle: Support the spare parts process (from intake to BOM assignment) and manage warranty-related documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work meets ’s rigorous safety standards, governance, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of engineering experience specifically focused on the maintenance or commissioning of industrial equipment (troubleshooting, and commissioning of MV/LV electrical systems and mechanical balance-of-plant (pumps, compressors, and hydraulics).
  • Experience with  tracking project health via action logs, change logs, and resource utilization – Ability to keep projects on track using tools like MS Project, Primavera P6, or Jira.
  • Experience in maintenance program support, including warranty claims and the procurement lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of a majority of the following assets:
  • Electrical: DC power systems (batteries/chargers), MV/LV AC systems (transformers, breakers, switchgear), and protection/control components.
  • Mechanical: Compressed air systems, hydraulic oil systems, and diesel generators.
  • Infrastructure: Water passage gates/valves, water distribution systems, ventilation, and cranes/hoists.
  • Education and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng), and will be required to Provide Proof of Permit to Practice, registered with EGBC when hired           

Additional Information

Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.

Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network
