SWS Civil Coordinator
- Pay Rate: $57.00 – $68.00/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 12 months
- Location: Fort McMurray, AB T6B 3P9
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The SWS Civil Coordinator oversees contractors supporting Civil and Waste Management operations.
- This role ensures safe execution of work, cost control, compliance with standards, and efficient daily coordination across multiple site functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage contractors for civil maintenance, waste handling, roadwork, erosion control, and winter operations.
- Conduct daily field inspections, KPI reviews, and verification/validation of contractor activities.
- Review CDMS submissions, validate equipment hours, and monitor aggregate and dust suppression tracking.
- Maintain work order lifecycle in eMaint; prepare maps and stockpile inventories using Propeller.
- Oversee financial processes: cost estimates, stewardship reports, accruals, invoice validation, and SAP PO tracking.
- Support regulatory requirements and ensure contract compliance through regular coordination meetings.
- Approve permits, ETMPs, contractor access, and manage rental equipment requests.
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating civil operations, contractor management, or industrial site services.
- Strong understanding of civil maintenance, roadwork, and waste management processes.
- Proficiency with systems such as SAP, WinShuttle, eMaint, Propeller, Titan, and CDMS (or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering standards, technical reports, and site maps.
- Strong financial acumen for cost tracking, accruals, and estimating.
- Excellent communication skills, including contractor interface and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong field presence and ability to conduct regular site inspections.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in industrial or oil sands environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.
