  • Pay Rate: $60.00 – $70.00/hour on W2
  • Contract Length: 12 months
  • Location: 50 miles within Approved HUB Locations (Remote)
  • Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | flexible

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

  • Working as part of a high functioning team, the Solutions Architect is responsible for identifying requirements and developing robust solutions in SQL Server for Legal Services projects.
  • Defines and develops solutions with minimal direction through consultation with Client Services project managers and collaboration with SQL developers.
  • Thinks strategically, with an equal focus on developing and communicating practical solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Is detail oriented but flexible, ready to adapt to changing needs and priorities, cycling in and out of projects and embracing alternative paths to solutions.
  • Enjoys the challenge of solving complex (and potentially under-defined) problems as a member of a high-performance team.

Responsibilities

  • Distill data requirements from settlement agreements, client interactions, and other legal documents.
  • Analyze requirements and datasets to develop data processing plans that address the custom needs of each project.
  • Coordinate with Client Services to determine the sufficiency of data and ensure alignment in all initial requirements.
  • Assist in the development, debugging, and testing of T-SQL code.
  • Interface with business stakeholders to identify new and/or clarify existing requirements.
  • Manage and prioritize assigned tasks, ensuring deadlines are achieved, communicating appropriately about progress and obstacles.

Top Required Skills

  • Technical Fluency with Business Translation Ability – Ability to understand technical concepts, systems, and terminology, and clearly explain them to non-technical audiences (clients, stakeholders, leadership) in plain language without losing accuracy.
  • Client Facing Communication & Relationship Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to lead discussions, manage expectations, and serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and non-technical partners.
  • Initiative & Ownership Mentality – Proven ability to work independently, proactively identify gaps or risks, and take ownership of driving solutions forward without waiting for detailed direction.
  • Problem Solving Across Technical and Human Constraints – Ability to analyze technical challenges while balancing real world business needs, timelines, and stakeholder concerns, and recommend practical, actionable solutions.
  • Organization and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or related fields) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading the development of technical solutions.
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and adapt solutions to meet the needs of the business.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborative interaction with peers, managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in direct client interactions, able to clearly and confidently articulate both challenges and solutions to non-technical clients.
  • Must enjoy and have experience working in a fast-paced environment, able to quickly realign with shifting priorities.

Technical Skills

  • 10+ years of experience with SQL Server and/or other relational databases.
  • Advanced level knowledge and experience working with SQL Server and/or in the development of T-SQL code.
  • Experience tuning T-SQL queries and/or in the optimization of database server performance.
  • Experience performing complex data analysis of very large datasets.
