Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Project Manager in this role will join our clients Mandatory Reliability Standards (MRS) team. This pivotal role focuses on leading high-risk, complex initiatives designed to ensure the integrity and compliance of our bulk power system. The successful candidate will manage the lifecycle of Mitigation Plans to resolve MRS issues, mitigate operational risks, and drive enhancements in asset management tools and practices.
Responsibilities
- Mitigation & Compliance: Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams to execute mitigation plans that resolve complex MRS non-compliance issues and technical risks.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee all project phases—scoping, planning, execution, and monitoring—to ensure deliverables are met safely, with high quality, on time, and within budget.
- Strategic Planning: Develop robust project and risk management plans, specifically identifying technical and regulatory bottlenecks early in the lifecycle.
- Asset Management Enhancements: Direct projects focused on improving asset management tools and practices that directly support ’s compliance posture.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of communication for cross-functional stakeholders, providing regular status reports, action logs, and post-implementation reviews.
- Process Optimization: Apply advanced project management principles to establish standards for implementation, ensuring resources are optimized across complex business process changes.
Qualifications
- 12 years of project management experience, specifically leading high-risk, complex business process or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Mandatory Reliability Standards and the regulatory environment of the utility sector.
- Electrical Engineering background with specific familiarity in Protection and Control (P&C) systems is considered a significant asset.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and specialized project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to translate complex technical/regulatory requirements into actionable project plans.
- A proven "team player" who can influence cross-functional teams and maintain meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate the nuances of MRS compliance and business process change.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
- PMP Certification is strongly preferred.
Additional Information
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
- Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
