Laboratory Technician

We’re Hiring! Our key client is growing like crazy and adding a Laboratory Technician to their team.

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour, depending on experience.
Work Type: Onsite – Dickinson, ND58601
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Information: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required
Job Overview:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and reliable laboratory operations within the US Onshore Regional Laboratory. This role assists with routine laboratory activities that support product quality, data integrity, and timely service delivery to internal stakeholders. Working under direct supervision, the Laboratory Technician performs sample preparation, data entry, inventory support, and general laboratory housekeeping while following established procedures and safety standards. The Laboratory Technician contributes to continuous improvement by maintaining organized work areas, supporting QA/QC activities, and ensuring laboratory readiness.

Responsibilities:

* Support routine laboratory testing and sample preparation activities in accordance with approved procedures.
* Accurately document laboratory work, sample information, and results in logs, reports, and digital systems.
* Assist with sample handling, storage, and disposal in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain laboratory equipment, workspaces, and inventory in clean and operational condition.
* Support QA/QC activities and audits as directed by laboratory leadership.
* Perform risk analysis before assigned tasks to identify and mitigate safety or quality concerns.
* Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives and maintain all required safety training.
* Wear appropriate PPE and comply with all company HSE policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Fewer than two years of relevant laboratory or technical experience.
* Prior coursework or hands-on experience in a scientific setting (e.g., high school chemistry, technical school, or college lab classes).
* Interest in laboratory work and a strong willingness to learn technical skills.
* High level of attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to safety and quality.
* Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment or procedures.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
