We’re Hiring! Our key client is growing and adding a Cable Technician I to their team.
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr on W2, depending on experience.
Work Location: Onsite – Andrews, TX 79714
Work Schedule: 12 days on and 2 days off rotation, providing every other weekend off. The shift schedule alternates weekly:
* Week 1 (Working Weekend): Morning shift starting at 7:30 AM (typically concluding around 6:30 PM or upon task completion).
* Week 2 (Weekend Off): Afternoon shift starting at 2:00 PM and continuing until daily operations are concluded.
Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Responsibilities:
* Performs basic operations to test and repair downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment.
* Receives cable and carries out basic tests.
* Perform basic repairs and learn how to splice cable.
* Complete paperwork to send cable to inventory or the field.
* Learn all relevant company HSE policies and procedures.
* Demonstrate the application of HSE policies and procedures into daily duties.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Proficient in the safe and effective use of various hand and power tools.
* Capable of working extended hours on foot across diverse weather conditions.
* Quickly adjusts to abrupt changes in workflow and production demands.
* Maintains high accuracy and precision in all assigned tasks.
* Demonstrates strong verbal skills for clear team coordination.
* Follows complex written and verbal instructions with high reliability.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
* Basic computer skills are preferred.
