Raise is currently hiring a Release & Delivery Assurance Coordinator on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Release & Delivery Assurance Coordinator is responsible for governing, coordinating, and continuously improving the end-to-end release lifecycle to ensure safe, predictable, and high-quality production deployments. This role supports coordinated release execution across delivery teams, helps ensure operational readiness, and contributes to continuous improvement of the release process. Workload increases during release windows, requiring strong coordination, risk awareness, and facilitation of go/no-go and deployment readiness discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Release Coordination & Go-Live Oversight
  • Prepare and submit Change Advisory Board (CAB) requests and manage approval workflows
  • Own and maintain the enterprise release calendar
  • Validate deployment readiness across teams prior to go-live
  • Facilitate go/no-go decision meetings with stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-team release activities and dependency alignment
  • Lead go-live communications and stakeholder updates
  • Orchestrate hotfix deployments when required
  • Coordinate production validation checks post-deployment
  • Lead post-release verification monitoring
  • Facilitate post-incident reviews related to release issues
  • Develop and publish release notes
  • Track and validate rollback plans
  • Ongoing Delivery Assurance (Between Releases)        
  • Support Sprint Reviews by reinforcing Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) standards
  • Validate release scope, tagging of stories and defects
  • Track and report release predictability metrics (planned vs. delivered)
  • Conduct defect trend analysis and production incident trend reviews
  • Maintain operational readiness checklists
  • Track UAT readiness and release qualification criteria
  • Monitor escaped defects and drive corrective actions
  • Build and maintain quality dashboards
  • Proactively identify and escalate cross-team release risks
  • Track interdependencies across workstreams
  • Monitor and enforce release freeze windows
  • Release Process Improvement Ownership
  • Lead initiatives to reduce manual release steps and improve automation
  • Define and enforce release entry and exit criteria
  • Monitor release quality gates (test coverage, defect leakage, automation rates)
  • Drive preventive improvement initiatives to reduce recurring issues
  • Maintain a centralized release learning repository
  • Maintain and continuously update release management documentation
  • Standardize and improve rollback procedures

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of previous release and/or project management/change management experience, (Solid understanding of project management and change management principles preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development
  • 3+ years of experience in the Alberta Oil and Gas industry and/or Regulatory environment.
  • Hands on experience with AzureDevOps and CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.gADO).
  • Strong understanding of release management, quality assurance, and deployment governance practices
  • Experience with change management documenting change and presenting to change boards (CAB)
  • Experience creating change tickets and approval process in ServiceNow
  • Experience working with Agile software development teams/deployments
  • Ability to manage risk, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination
  • Experience facilitating executive-level decision forums (e.g., go/no-go meetings)
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational maturity and to meet determined to meet timelines
  • Recommended Skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with experience building and executing tactical plans.
  • Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Must possess strong process knowledge of System Development Life Cycles
  • Flexible, must be able to change priorities quickly, focus on new ones without distraction, able to deal with conflict and work under pressure to meet deliverable dates/timelines.
  • Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Change management certification is an asset
  • Project management/Business analysis certification is an asset
