- Pay Rate: $81.15/hour, depending on experience

- Location: Burnaby, British Columbia – open to fully remote candidates willing to work PST hours

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The SAP Business Warehouse RunOps Consultant) is a pivotal role within our clients analytics ecosystem. You will be responsible for the integration, design, and implementation of medium-to-complex SAP Business Warehouse projects. This role balances strategic development with high-level operational sustainment, ensuring that data architecture remains robust, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
As a RunOps specialist, you will bridge the gap between initial deployment and long-term solution health, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity across critical business functions.
Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Integration: Perform end-to-end design and implementation of SAP BW/4HANA solutions. Translate complex business requirements into feasible technical options that support utility operations.
- Technical Governance: Review functional specifications and present technical designs to development leads. Ensure all designs meet BC Hydro’s stringent standards for security, quality, and scalability.
- Sustainable Development: Build and deploy reporting solutions following approved architectural directions. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and adhere to safety and quality protocols.
- Operational Excellence (RunOps): Maintain the health of existing reporting solutions by performing routine sustainment activities. Support multiple project teams and troubleshoot development bottlenecks efficiently.
- Collaborative Troubleshooting: Partner with functional and technical teams to validate information requirements. Translate these into conceptual models and resolve complex technical issues in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create comprehensive technical designs, process flows, job aids, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to empower end-users and internal support teams.
Qualifications
- 5 years of consulting experience specifically in SAP BW/4HANA (or SAP BW 7.3+ equivalent).
- 5 years of dedicated operations experience sustaining large-scale analytics solutions.
- Proven expertise in SAP BW underlying data models, BEx, and SAP Business Objects 4.2 (Crystal, Analysis, Web Intelligence).
- Functional Knowledge Areas of SAP (Finance or Supply Chain, Work Management & Asset Management, Human Capital Management (Recruitment/Learning), Environment and Safety, Production Support)
- Advanced skills in performance optimization and troubleshooting complex data loads.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for a professional corporate environment.
- Experience across the full SAP lifecycle—from project initiation and configuration to cutover and post-go-live support.
- Proficiency in SAP Solution Manager and standard change management policies.
- Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with SAP Datasphere or SAP Business Data Cloud.
- Experience within the Utilities industry.
- Familiarity with Accelerated SAP (ASAP) methodology.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Technical Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Additional Information
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
- Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
