Raise is currently hiring a Senior Project Manager on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our client, is one of Canada's public research Universities is a global centre for teaching, learning and research and consistently ranked among the top public Universities in the world.
Description
The Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives within a growing portfolio of technology-enabled projects across the university. This role is part of the Program Delivery Office and will support enterprise initiatives, with a primary focus on Salesforce CRM platforms.
The portfolio includes multiple projects running in parallel over the next five years, with individual projects typically lasting approximately 12 months. Resources transition across projects as new initiatives move through the pipeline.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale enterprise technology transformation while supporting a long-term portfolio of projects that enable innovation across the university.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead large, complex enterprise IT projects from concept through implementation.
· Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
· Coordinate cross-functional teams including Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Developers, Operations, and external vendors.
· Manage project risks, issues, actions, and decisions (RAID logs) and ensure timely resolution.
· Ensure alignment with the enterprise Salesforce platform roadmap and broader IT strategy.
· Oversee implementation planning, system integration, and deployment activities.
· Manage procurement processes, including RFIs/RFPs and vendor selection in collaboration with procurement and legal teams.
· Monitor project performance and ensure quality deliverables and stakeholder satisfaction.
· Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement.
· Lead stakeholder engagement with senior university leadership, IT teams, and business units.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
· 9+ years of project management experience in IT or enterprise technology environments.
· PMP certification (active) required.
· Demonstrated experience managing large enterprise IT implementations.
· Strong experience in project planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder management.
· Experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors.
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience managing Salesforce implementation projects (Salesforce CRM, Education Cloud, or similar).
· Experience working with large SaaS implementation partners and hybrid delivery models.
· Experience managing RFIs/RFPs and vendor procurement processes.
· Background in enterprise COTS implementations, systems integration, and data migration.
· Experience in higher education or complex institutional environments.
· Certifications such as Salesforce Associate or Cloud Strategy are considered an asset.
