Machine Operator – 3rd Shift
- Pay Rate: $26.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 5 months
- Location: Chanhassen, MN 55317 (Onsite)
- Work Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Mandatory overtime every other Saturday (Friday into Saturday)

Overview
- The Machine Operator is responsible for operating production machinery, monitoring product quality, and maintaining equipment performance in a manufacturing environment.
- This role includes production operations, quality inspections, minor machine adjustments, and documentation of production processes.
Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Production
- Operate production machinery while monitoring output quality and machine performance.
- Perform minor machine adjustments using company-supplied hand tools.
- Diagnose and repair minor machine issues using maintenance training and experience.
- Maintain equipment in proper working condition.
- Production Support
- Perform production, quality inspection, and mailing of finished goods.
- Prepare materials and stock supplies for production.
- Shred destruction materials as required.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain production logs and audit documentation.
- Track inventory receipt of raw materials and finished goods.
- Follow ISO controls and company documentation standards.
- Review job sheets and proofs to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Communication & Team Support
- Communicate quality, production, or maintenance issues to the Production Supervisor or Manager.
- Assist other operators and provide machine coverage during breaks and lunch.
- Ensure proper shift handoff and communicate machine/job status to incoming operators.
- Provide feedback on training materials and manuals.
- Facility Maintenance
- Perform weekly shop floor cleaning (sweeping, trash removal).
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (typing and Excel)
- Ability to prioritize workload and troubleshoot routine machine issues.
- Ability to accurately complete documentation and checklists.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers.
- Must be able to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance from the U.S. State Department.
Preferred Qualifications
- Up to 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Up to 1 year of machine operation or IT experience.
- Experience operating production machinery preferred.
- Technical education or related experience.
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing work environment.
- Moderate noise levels (below 85 decibels)
- Safety shoes required per policy.
- May require PPE (such as safety glasses)
- Ability to distinguish full color spectrum.
- Repetitive machine operation motions.
- Excellent eye-hand coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
