IT Computer Operator
Pay Rate: Up to $26.00/hr, depending on experience
Work Type: Onsite – Houston, TX 77042
Work Schedule: 6:15 AM – 2:15 PM with days off most likely being Tuesday and Wednesday
Duration: 3-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
Raise is currently hiring an IT Computer Operator on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
- IT Computer Operator is the person responsible for monitoring and controlling the Company's worldwide organization projects and priorities, load adjustments as require per projects) and batch balancing on all systems, Omega OCM / Cloud software and all computer systems in our company worldwide organization and all other in-house peripheral /software components
- Interact with internal and external customers, vendors and support teams
- Monitor, identify, engage and resolve system alerts, support calls from internal and global omega users.
- Highly proficient with commands, programs, scripts, advanced knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of 6 months related experience or training or education.
- Must have an advanced knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems to execute commands, run programs, and scripts.
- Proficient in IT operator software knowledge
- Demonstrates exceptional communication and reporting skills, coupled with high productivity and strong documentation abilities, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Problem solving for software and hardware
- Working knowledge of excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word
- Ability to regularly stand, crouch, stoop and walk; including pushing and pulling carts and equipment.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
