Wastewater Treatment Technician II
- Pay Rate: $24.00 – $26.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 9 months with possible extension/conversion – temp to hire
- Location: Lewisburg, TN 37091 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The Wastewater Technician II is a mid-level role within Industrial Wastewater Operations.
- This position is responsible for independently performing industrial wastewater treatment using various technologies and chemicals.
- The technician will also assist with petroleum recovery operations and liquid management processes.
- The role requires experience in waste stream sampling, tanker transfers, QA/QC analysis, bench testing, treat code assignments, and batch wastewater treatment, along with basic petroleum recovery operations.
- The technician will also be cross trained to support sludge press operations, tank wash, and non-bulk operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemical analysis including pH, flash point, FOG, solids, PCB, halogen, ICP-MS, and ammonia.
- Operate equipment such as:
- Pressure washers
- Power tools
- Forklifts
- Yard dog
- High vac trucks
- Wheel loaders
- Excavators
- Boom lifts and scissor lifts
- Sample tanker trucks and containers.
- Unload tanker trucks using hose connections.
- Perform waste stream QA/QC and laboratory analysis.
- Conduct oil line and wastewater treatment line operations.
- Complete and submit all required regulatory and safety documentation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, and twist for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- First Aid / CPR / AED certification
- Confined Space Entry certification (can be obtained after hire)
- Experience with NetSuite
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Must qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
