We’re Hiring! Our key client is growing and adding a Production Machine Operator to their team.
Pay Rate: Up to $21.00/hour on W2, depending on experience
Work Type: Onsite – Odessa, TX 79765
Work Schedule: Day shift | Monday – Friday with occasional weekend work
Duration: 3-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors
Additional Information: Standard Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
Job Overview:
The Production Machine Operator is responsible for helping provide safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery to customers while identifying opportunities to improve service delivery. This role ensures equipment is delivered on time according to operational demands and maintains both shop and field equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members.
* Plan and execute maintenance activities for a designated location (outside of Technology Lifecycle Management activities).
* Maintain equipment according to established procedures, reporting any problems or deviations.
* Operate equipment according to procedures, competency levels, and job requirements.
* Identify opportunities to improve the service delivery process.
* Participate in failure investigations when relevant.
* Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED.
* Previous production experience in a manufacturing environment with productivity metrics.
* Ability to occasionally move bags of plastic weighing up to 50 lbs and move them to the hopper.
* Ability to run a brush machine (training will be provided).
* Ability to occasionally assist the warehouse with loading and unloading trucks.
* Protective Equipment Requirements
* Steel-toe boots are required (must provide own).
* All other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided by the company.
