Operations Logistic and Transportation Manager
- Pay Rate: $40.75/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 9 months with possible extension/conversion – temp to hire
- Location: Lewisburg, TN 37091 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The Operations Logistic and Transportation Manager is responsible for all localized activities of a Material Processing Facility (MPF), including baling, water treatment, hauling and transportation, and solidification activities.
- This role is accountable for the profitability and efficiency of all facility operations while maintaining a safe work site and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory agencies.
- The manager is expected to provide strong leadership to maximize facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Provide elite workplace quality, set clear expectations, lead initiatives, and coordinate training for plant employees.
- Operations Management: Coordinate all phases of operations, including administrative tasks, receiving/shipping, material processing, and laboratory discharge compliance.
- Strategic Planning: Develop business activity scopes involving equipment, technology, and personnel to facilitate future growth and competitiveness.
- Compliance & Maintenance: Ensure all preventative maintenance obligations are met and the facility remains audit-ready for local authorities and agencies.
- Sales & Customer Support: Maintain contact with sales reps and key accounts; participate in selling efforts and coordinate with other MPF locations to support clients.
- Financial Oversight: Analyze facility budgets, sales reports, and performance data to measure productivity and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Performance Management: Manage employee performance while mentoring and guiding the overall growth of the facility staff.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee Baling, Waste Water Treatment, and Solidification operations at the facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years of leadership and team-building experience
- Experience in waste or environmental solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze information and suggest improvements
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Background in wastewater treatment and laboratory analysis
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal waste
Physical Demands
- Frequently lifts or moves up to 25 pounds; occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 pounds.
- Requires working near operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment.
- Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations.
- Ability to tolerate heights, high temperatures, and working outdoors.
