Electronic Assembler III
- Pay Rate: $25.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 8 months with possible extension
- Location: Irvine, CA 92618 (Onsite)
- Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM + OT as needed
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- The Electronics Assembler III performs tasks in the manufacturing process according to manufacturing documentation and established time standards.
- This role works within a defined technological specification, utilizes available resources (including conventional and digital tools), and inspects their own work to ensure quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, wire, and install a variety of electronic and mechanical components using assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, and verbal instructions.
- Identify and select components to be integrated into sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Utilize a variety of tools including soldering irons, hand tools, cutters, screwdrivers, and crimping tools.
- Interface with a PC to record job activities and production data.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and revision nomenclature.
- Follow assembly work instructions including drawing assemblies and Manufacturing Assembly Instructions (MAI).
- Utilize internal systems such as MRP-SAP, Chorus 2.0, and Team Center to verify documents and procedures.
- Assist the line lead in ensuring calibration and certification of test equipment and hand tools.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by following Lean principles and 5S guidelines.
- Provide support across other production lines, warehouse/stockroom operations, kitting teams, and assembly lines as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, or a certificate from a college/technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in electronic or mechanical assembly, cabling, or harnessing.
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to assist in other production areas when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer knowledge for reviewing engineering orders (EOs) and related documentation.
- Prototype cable manufacturing experience (IPC-620 certification).
- Mechanical assembly certification (IPC-610).
- Soldering skills (IPC-610 certification) preferred.
