Hardware Deployment Technician
- Pay Rate: $40.00 – $50.00/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 7 months
- Location: Spring, TX 77389 (Onsite)
Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
- We are seeking a customer-focused Hardware Deployment Technician to provide hands-on IT support at the client’s Houston Campus.
- This role is responsible for the deployment, configuration, and support of laptop hardware, software, and related technology in an enterprise environment.
- The ideal candidate is technically skilled, organized, and comfortable working independently while interacting directly with.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and support laptops, shared systems, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Install and update applications using in-house software deployment tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, VPN).
- Provide face-to-face and remote technical support and guidance to end-users.
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory and asset records.
- Document deployment procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Coordinate deployments and support activities with project coordinators and on-site IT teams.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional are a plus.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in desktop support, executive support, or IT deployment roles.
- Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
- Experience with software deployment tools and remote support technologies.
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud technologies.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and configurations.
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar IT ticketing systems.
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move computer equipment as required.
