  • Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (2 days per week in-office, plus every fourth Friday)
  • Pay Rate: $42.23/hr – $49.84/hr
  • Contract Length: 6 Months with a possibility of extension

Responsibilities:

  • Strong financial acumen and project coordination skills, including experience with accrual processing, maintaining balanced financials, and working with the general ledger (GL). 
  • The role involves a heavy focus on financial activities, particularly during month-end and the beginning of each month. Responsibilities include managing program financials (e.g., accruals and financial reporting) and developing presentation materials for weekly status meetings presented to executive steering committees.
  • Additionally, the candidate should have experience integrating Power BI, including reporting across Excel and SharePoint, and automating status reporting processes. 
  • Check the master schedule and work orders, establish priorities, and change the schedule according to projects, work order specifications, priorities, and availability of workers, material, or equipment.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and task members to determine the progress of work and identify additional follow-up needs.
  • Provide general administrative support, including monitoring the calendar, setting up meetings, making travel and/or meeting arrangements, entering time, and filing expense reports.
  • Compile reports concerning progress of work and downtime to distribute to personnel involved in the project.
  • Ensure project control procedures and policies within a number of projects are executed and functioning according to Technology’s project performance standards.
  • Consolidate and integrate Work Breakdown Structure data.
  • Develop, consolidate, and reconcile management and resource allocation reports.
  • Track progress and make decisions regarding response plans.
  • Track and reconcile financials.

Must-Have Requirement:

  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/education.
  • Demonstrated experience managing program financials (e.g., Accruals, creating financial reports – presented to executive steering committees, chargebacks, processing of invoices, financial forecasting)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience at banking is an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint/sharepoint
  • Jira / Power BI

Skills:

  • Possess a basic level of Project Management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with a broad range of contacts from technical staff to senior management.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and to work successfully under pressure.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to solve problems.
  • Can deal with ambiguity and requests for change.
