Project Coordinator – McArthur River
- Contract Length: 1 Year
- Location: McArthur River, Saskatchewan
- Fly In Fly Out Camp accommodations provided
- Rotation (1 week in-1 week out, 11 hours a day)
- Company Charter Flights provided – Departing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
- Contractors are expected to travel to Saskatoon for chartered flights to camp sites.

Description
The Project Coordinator – Mine Operations is an entry‑level to early‑career role that supports the planning, execution, and implementation of improvement initiatives within the Mining department. This role is focused on field-level data collection, coordination, documentation, and follow‑through, enabling Mine Operations Coordinators to deliver operational projects effectively and consistently. The position plays a key role in connecting field execution with improvement initiatives, ensuring that data is accurate, actions are tracked, and changes are implemented as intended while following Change Management processes.
Responsibilities
- Field Data Collection & Analysis Support
- Collect operational data in the field related to mining activities, equipment performance, crew utilization, safety systems, and consumables
- Support the development and upkeep of data tracking tools for mining KPIs (e.g., spreadsheets, dashboards, logs)
- Validate and organize field data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability
- Assist with basic analysis and preparation of summaries to support decision-making
- Project & Implementation Support
- Support Mine Operations Coordinators in executing operational improvement projects, including:
- Operational technology rollouts
- Field safety system improvements
- Crew management and workflow optimizations
- Equipment and fleet related improvement initiatives
- Assist with implementation activities such as:
- Field trials and pilots
- Rollout coordination
- Document control and version tracking
- Action tracking and follow‑up
- Monitor progress of assigned actions and escalate risks, delays, or issues as required
- Field Engagement & Change Support
- Work closely with mine operations crews, supervisors, and other stakeholders to support adoption of new processes, tools, or systems
- Capture field feedback and observations during and after implementation
- Support change management activities, including communication, training materials, and readiness checks
- Ensure changes are implemented in alignment with standards, procedures, and safety expectations
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation for projects, including:
- Field observations
- Data logs
- Implementation checklists
- Lessons learned
- Prepare routine status updates and summaries for Mine Operations Coordinators
- Support continuous improvement by helping identify gaps, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities observed in the field
- General
- Promote a strong safety culture by complying with all site safety requirements and actively identifying hazards or improvement opportunities
- Support other improvement work as assigned to enable Mine Operations to achieve operational excellence
- This role is dynamic and may evolve as the Mining department’s improvement priorities change
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of dxperience in a mining, industrial, or operational environment is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with operational data
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage frontline personnel
- Organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); ability to learn site systems
- Education and Certifications
- Diploma or degree in Mining Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred)

- As this is a safety Sensitive Role Pre-access substance testing will be required
