Raise is currently hiring a Contract Performance Professional on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Contract Performance Professional  in this role will act as the primary "owner-manager" of assigned contracts, ensuring they meet critical performance objectives in alignment with the orginaizations strategic goals. This role is far more than administrative; it requires a strategic leader who can navigate complex business environments, manage high-value relationships, and apply expert knowledge of contract terms and conditions to drive value.

You will lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute contract management processes, ensuring compliance, optimizing costs through innovation, and managing risks throughout the contract lifecycle.

High-Level Outcomes

  • Performance Excellence: Ensure contractors and contracts operate in alignment with performance objectives and approved business strategies.
  • Strategic Leadership: Act as the recognized contracts expert for assigned categories, anticipating future trends and managing benefit realization plans.
  • Process Improvement: Lead the development and implementation of business process improvements and time/cost-saving initiatives.
  • Practice Advancement: Contribute to the sustainment and growth of ’s Contract Management Practice framework.

Responsibilities

  • Contractor Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships across internal business groups and external suppliers. Turn difficult conversations into constructive, mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Contract Leadership: Articulate contract formats, pricing structures, and scope definitions to stakeholders to ensure total compliance and minimize risk.
  • Benefits Realization: Direct contract management activities to ensure the expected strategic benefits of multi-year contracts are fully realized.
  • Change Management: Plan and lead change initiatives using structured project management methodologies to support new contracts and organizational shifts.            

Qualifications

  • 8 years of proven experience executing value-add contracts and delivering strategic business outcomes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and present to Senior Leaders.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data, interpreting trends, and communicating findings to drive decision-making.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • The Ideal Candidate (Differentiators)
    • 10+ years of experience in contract execution and strategic benefit delivery.
    • Experience within a Crown Corporation, government environment, or the Utility sector.
    • Strong competency in civil construction, engineering, design, or construction management.
    • Partial or full completion of SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) or WCC (World Commerce & Contracting) certification.
    • A growth mindset with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt leadership styles in a complex, changing context.
  • Education and Certifications
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Business, Law, Finance, or Engineering (relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered).

Additional Information

  • Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
  • Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
