Senior Risk Manager
- Pay Rate: $91.91hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 11 Months, with the potential for extension

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Senior Risk Manager, in this role will be the lead architect of our clients risk culture. You will move beyond simple box-ticking to provide deep, strategic insights that protect our assets while enabling innovation. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who thrives on complexity and possesses the "executive presence" to influence decision-making at the highest levels.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Risk Assessment: Lead end-to-end risk evaluations for high-stakes, large-scale projects and system implementations. You will be responsible for identifying hidden vulnerabilities, dependencies, and gaps within proposed architectural designs.
- Process Maturity (NIRAP): Act as the primary owner for the NIRAP framework. You will continuously evolve this framework to ensure it remains robust as scales and regulatory environments shift.
- Control Validation & Innovation: Critically assess the effectiveness of internal controls. You will spearhead the development of specialized tools to map these controls to end-to-end processes, ensuring comprehensive mitigation of key risk exposures.
- Reporting & Actionable Insights: Synthesize complex data into executive-ready dashboards. You will track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) throughout project lifecycles to provide senior leadership with the clarity needed for rapid, informed decision-making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between the various "lines of defense." You will partner closely with Internal Audit, Compliance, and Business Operations to ensure initiative-level risks are perfectly aligned with the broader ERM framework.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of deep experience applying enterprise, operational, and technology risk frameworks within the financial services sector.
- Experience with Strategic Control Validation & Mapping – Advanced proficiency in Control Self-Assessment (CSA) and the ability to build visual risk-control maps.
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI for the creation of Executive Risk Dashboards or reporting suites that influenced C-suite decision-making on high-stakes projects.
- Advanced Excel (VBA, Power Query) for complex modeling and Salesforce for tracking enterprise-wide KPIs.
- Proven track record of identifying "blind spots" in large-scale system implementations.
- Proven track record of building trust and navigating complex relationships across diverse business units.
- The ability to look past the immediate task to see the systemic implications of a risk or control failure.
- Ability to translate "risk-speak" into clear, actionable business intelligence for executive audiences.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Risk Management or Information Systems or Computer Science
- Relevant designation is highly preferred (e.g., FRM, CRM, CPA, or CIA).
