Cementing Equipment Operator
Pay Rate: $24.00 – $26.00/hr, depending on experience.
Work Type: Onsite – Prudhoe Bay, AK 99734
Duration: 11-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Rotation Details: Most roles require the ability to handle a flexible schedule which is typically 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel: If you are required to work in an oilfield basin away from your "home" location, you will be provided airfare to and from that location.
Accommodation: While on rotation to a basin, you will be housed in a Workforce Lodge and provided all meals there or provided hotel-based housing.
Additional Information: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
Raise is currently hiring a Cementing Equipment Operator on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview:
- Responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers.
- Identifies opportunities to improve service delivery and assists field and maintenance crews with preparing equipment for operations.
- Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
- Participate in pre-job and Toolbox meetings with crew members.
- Maintain good, safe working order of equipment according to standards, reporting problems or deviations.
- Ensure individual and crew work safety.
- Prepare equipment for rig up and rig down times.
- Operate the equipment according to competency level and job requirement.
- Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
- Maintain the required safety training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rig up and rig down cementing service equipment at work locations.
- Learn basic oil well operations and the associated hazards.
- Assist with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete associated documentation as well as other documentation, and forms as required.
- Operate and maintain cementing equipment.
- Maintain a high standard of safety and environmental awareness by complying with all applicable HSE procedures and standards.
- Verify proper valve alignment on bulk systems and surface manifold equipment.
- Understand and follow procedures for handling hazardous materials, job site cleanup, and discharge.
- Promote safety awareness and environmental responsibility in all work activities.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one.
- Clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
- Ability to pass background checks, physical exams, and drug screening.
- Competent in following routine oral and written instructions.
- Proficient in basic mathematical calculations relevant to field operations.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including long shifts, irregular hours, and on-call availability with short notice.
- Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions and remote field environments.
