Trainee Laboratory Technician

Pay Rate: $19.90/hr on W2, depending on experience

Work Type: Onsite – Williston, ND 58801

Work Schedule: 12-hour shift | 8 days on/4 days of – 8 nights on/4 days off

Duration: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.

Raise is currently hiring a Trainee Laboratory Technician on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Job Overview:

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers. The Laboratory Technician identifies opportunities to improve service delivery. This person performs quality assurance tests on company products, prepares laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite, and provides advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design. The Laboratory Technician maintains contact with the Client Support Labs and/or operating locations, product centers and the InTouch repository.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Develop the competency level required to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design.
  • Ensure that laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and that waste is regularly disposed.
  • Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.
  • Assist the Design/Technical Engineer and Product Champions with technical support as required.
  • Perform risk analysis before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
  • Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
  • Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
  • Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
  • Maintain the required safety training.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Entry-level; no minimum years of experience required, training will be provided.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly flexible with a strong willingness to learn new processes.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks effectively under pressure.

Work Environment:

  • Steel Toe Shoes.
  • PPE provided: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, coveralls, safety boots.
