Senior Business Analyst
- Pay Rate: $76.39/hour on W2
- Contract Length: 18 months with possible extension
- Location: Houston, TX 77002
- Work Schedule: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Work Type: Hybrid – Minimum 4 days Onsite (Mon – Thu)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong project management and Scrum Master capabilities to support digital operations initiatives. This role focuses on delivering technology solutions that modernize operational workflows, environmental compliance systems, and integrated platforms across a large-scale enterprise environment.
The selected candidate will lead requirements development, cross-functional coordination, and delivery execution for multiple digital applications, including system integrations and workflow modernization efforts. This role requires excellent communication, strong documentation skills, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues in complex system environments.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Leadership
- Elicit, document, and validate business and user requirements with stakeholders
- Develop:
- Process flows
- Functional specifications
- Data flows
- Use cases for complex integrations
- Create workflow diagrams, mockups, and structured documentation
- Define acceptance criteria and support QA testing processes
Project Management & Scrum Leadership
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery across multiple workstreams
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies:
- Daily standups
- Sprint planning
- Backlog refinement
- Retrospectives
- Ensure alignment across product owners, developers, QA, and stakeholders
- Track and manage risks, issues, and dependencies
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and deployment readiness
Cross-Functional & Technical Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business, engineering, and technical teams
- Support system integrations, including:
- GIS platforms
- Drone data systems
- SCADA / industrial systems
- Environmental compliance tools (preferred)
- Perform business process analysis and cost/benefit assessments
Documentation & Communication Excellence
- Produce clear, structured documentation for:
- Requirements
- Workflows
- Training materials
- Process changes
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels
- Identify and address risks, gaps, and stakeholder challenges proactively
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in:
- Enterprise applications
- Systems integration
- Complex digital programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with:
- Requirements gathering
- Use cases and acceptance criteria
- Test documentation
- Project management or Scrum Master experience
- Full software development lifecycle experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across the full project lifecycle in large enterprise environments
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- ArcGIS
- Drone data platforms
- SCADA systems
- Strong analytical and data skills (SQL or Oracle preferred)
- Agile delivery experience and continuous improvement practices
- Experience leading software development initiatives
- Background in training development or change management
- Exposure to UI/UX concepts
- Relevant certifications:
- CBAP, CCBA
- CSPO, CSM, PSM
- PMP
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in software development projects, systems integration, and business process transformation
- Strong collaboration skills working with engineering and technical teams
- Experience developing:
- Functional and technical requirements
- Use cases and process flows
- Structured documentation for complex integrations
- Proven ability to engage with both front-line teams and senior leadership
- Prior experience in project management or Scrum Master roles, including:
- Project planning
- Risk identification and mitigation
- Cross-functional coordination
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate risks, gaps, and stakeholder needs
