Project Manager – Work Programs
- Pay Rate: $82.81/hour, depending on experience
- Contract Length: 1 Year
- Location: Burnaby, British Columbia (open to remote candidates, as long as they can do occasional travel)
Raise is currently hiring 3 Project Managers – Work Programs on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Work Program Project Manager in this role will drive the delivery of high-impact work programs within the Enterprise Solutions, Mobility, and GIS domains. These work programs consist of a series of smaller, iterative projects focused on delivering incremental enhancements and functional changes to core utility applications.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of the respective area, you will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent work streams, ensuring they remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the organizations rigorous governance standards. This role requires a blend of traditional project management discipline and agile flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Program Delivery & Scheduling: Maintain and drive the work program schedule; ensure overall delivery of incremental enhancements across functional domains.
- JIRA Administration & Stewardship: Act as the hands-on lead for configuring and managing project stories and issue tracking. Ensure the team maintains data integrity within JIRA (e.g., following up on stale or incorrect updates).
- Financial & Resource Tracking: Maintain detailed cost and resource spreadsheets; manage the onboarding and offboarding process for project resources to ensure seamless team transitions.
- Governance & Reporting: Prepare high-quality governance documentation, including weekly/monthly status reports, risk logs, and escalation materials for leadership.
- Team Leadership: Facilitate regular team meetings focused on identifying risks, resolving bottlenecks, and escalating critical issues.
- Document Management: Oversee structured documentation and version control within SharePoint.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of IT Project Management experience managing application or infrastructure technologies in a complex enterprise environment.
- Proven experience in the technical configuration and day-to-day management of JIRA workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to support the full lifecycle of project staffing (onboarding/offboarding).
- Strong experience preparing formal status reports, risk/issue logs, and executive-level escalation materials.
- Preferred Skills (Nice to Haves)
- Experience with JIRA will be an asset
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in an SAP environment (functional or technical experience is valued, even if not specifically in a PM capacity).
- Experience with SAP Activate or Agile SCRUM (specifically serving in a Scrum Master capacity) is a significant asset.
- Experience managing projects through iterative development cycles.
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to work effectively with diverse project teams, technical leadership, and business stakeholders.
- A high degree of accuracy in maintaining spreadsheets and structured project documentation.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- PMP® Designation or equivalent project management certification is considered a strong asset.

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia , will consider Remote candidates willing to work PST hours – as long as they can do occasional travel
