    • Pay Rate: $25.65 – $30.78/hour on W2
    • Contract Length: 12 months
    • Location: Beaverton, OR 97005 (Onsite)

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

  • The Legal Noticing Specialist will support the Director of Legal Notice, by handling implementation of all aspects Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA) noticing, and assisting in drafting declarations, notices and other documents.
  • The role provides an excellent introduction to the sales and legal noticing teams and will immerse the candidate into the legal requirements associated with the administration of class action settlements. Above all else, the job requires strong writing and communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and later manage Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA) mailings.
  • Draft CAFA Notices and Declarations using templates, review documents, and create mailing lists and class member reports.
  • Work with the Mailings Teams to ensure all CAFA mailings are mailed timely and accurately.
  • Work with Accounting to ensure all CAFA mailings are billed timely and accurately.
  • Work with company’s Client Services teams regarding stats/opt-out counts for declarations.
  • Draft and proof declarations and/or notices for filing with the Court.
  • Review online dockets related to declarations / CAFA mailings.
  • Review objections and analyze content related to notice or other responsibilities.
  • Manage timelines and calendars, and CAFA Tracking Log.
  • Assist with requests from clients/sales in support of new business opportunities (notice / claim experience, activity projections, etc.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or paralegal preferred but not required – equivalent experience with class action legal notice and administration requirements and processes also a plus.
  • Attention to detail
  • Writing and proofreading skills
  • Reliable and works well under pressure / deadlines.
  • Team player
  • Experience with client’s SR & billing processes a plus
  • Works independently without the need for constant supervision; and
  • Willingness to be responsible and own processes / tasks.
