Enterprise Information Architect – Senior

Functional / Technical
- Create and maintain an Enterprise Information Management framework.
- Create and manage conceptual business information models to provide the organization with a future-state view of the information landscape that is unencumbered by the specific data implementation details imposed by proprietary solutions or technologies.
- Define and implement a systemic use of metamodels, taxonomies and ontologies to support the Enterprise’s data assets.
- Maintain repositories for representing the data assets including sources, structure, business glossary, classification, and associations (High-level flows)
- Assist data and analytics leaders, and business and IT leadership in developing information governance processes and structures.
- Maintain the strategic direction for enterprise information management.
- Translate the information architecture contribution to business outcomes into simple briefings for use by various stakeholder groups .
- Lead discovery sessions with primary business stakeholders to obtain knowledge of business data objectives, challenges, and requirements
- Maintain a vision for the enterprise information management capabilities and lead the development of the enterprise information management roadmap championing innovative solutions that are scalable, adaptable, and synchronized with ever-changing business needs and the complexity of digital transformation
- Enable and promote the discoverability of information assets with a focus on self service
- Lead discovery sessions with primary business stakeholders to obtain knowledge of business data objectives, challenges, and requirements
- Support the Enterprise Data Architect in the identification and recommendation of appropriate enterprise data solutions
- Mentor other data architects , both within the team and within other enterprise services or business units, in order to promote broad understanding of the enterprises’ data assets
Leadership
- Be an evangelist and agent of cultural change by championing the use of digital technology and practices in order to establish a digital mindset from the top down
- Drive collaboration, knowledge sharing and best practices among partners and colleagues to help establish a robust digital ecosystem, positively impacting business outcomes
- Take responsibility to advance the digital dexterity of business partners and present new business options and opportunities based on successful digital examples
- Continuous Improvement
- Maintain external accreditations and an in-depth understanding of current and emerging data technologies, external regulation, and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, etc.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of data standards, processes, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Enable continuous improvement of innovation, digital strategy and systems change-related processes through regular stakeholder engagement, process reviews and tracking of key metrics/performance indicators
Skills and Competencies
Must Have:
- Minimum of (10) years of experience in a senior leadership role
- Minimum of (10) years of relevant functional experience including data modeling, and information classification expertise at the enterprise level
- Minimum of (10) years of experience related to information architecture frameworks, information models, metamodels, taxonomies and ontologies.
- Experience working in a unionized environment an asset.
- Strategically minded with understanding of business and data to drive business value and financial objectives.
- Experience in creating innovative strategies to improve the organization’s ability to drive data driven decision making.
- Experience in managing relationships with technology, operations, and business members.
- Experience in assessing financial, human and customer impacts.
