Technology Quality Technician

Pay Rate: $24.00 – $26.00/hour on W2, depending on experience

Work Type: Onsite – Houston, TX 77041

Work Schedule: 1st Shift | 4:00 am – 2:30 pm | Overtime

Duration: 12-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Additional Details: Standard Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.

Raise is currently hiring a Technology Quality Technician on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.



Job Overview:

The Technology Quality Technician is responsible for conducting quality control activities, including inspections, tests, and results reporting. This role combines practical skills with an understanding of the overall Quality Management System and the impact of nonconformances on the performance of equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect documentation, parts, components, materials, subassemblies, and equipment against stated specifications.
  • Utilize measurement systems with valid calibration and acceptable repeatability and reproducibility.
  • Comply with all applicable inspection procedures, test plans, and standard work.
  • Perform manufacturing and engineering tests in compliance with applicable procedures and standard work.
  • Assist in designing tests and fixtures, as well as their initial set-up.
  • Ensure all inspection and test activities are conducted safely; participate in the creation and review of Hazard Analysis and Risk Control for these activities.
  • Perform calibration of measurement systems when authorized.
  • Provide input to continuously improve inspection and test procedures, standard work, and test plans.
  • Document the results of inspections and tests, verifying the stability of results over time when feasible.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement wherever applicable.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Technical Secondary School equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Background in quality inspection and reading mechanical design drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and inspection logs.
  • Frequent handling of mechanical components (pipes).
  • Regular use of mechanical lifting aids; no unassisted lifting over 50 lbs.
  • Prior experience with mechanical lifting and handling of assemblies.
  • Strong attention to detail is required for all inspections.
  • Must be comfortable wearing all required PPE (provided).
