  • Location: Spring, TX 77389 (Onsite)

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

  • The Planner / Scheduler – Early Project Development supports the front-end planning of FPSO, SURF, and Offshore Pipeline projects throughout pre‑Gate 1, Concept Selection, pre‑FEED, and all pre‑full funding stages.
  • The role is responsible for developing high‑quality conceptual schedules and execution scenarios that enable project teams to evaluate options, identify risks and opportunities, and optimize overall project timelines.
  • This position supports multiple pre‑FID projects concurrently and works closely with the Early‑Stage Team, including FPSO, SURF, and Contracting Leads, while interfacing with Central Project Management Planning & Scheduling representatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, independent judgment, and clear documentation and communication of assumptions.

Responsibilities

  • Early‑Stage Planning & Scheduling
    • Develop conceptual, early‑stage project schedules for FPSO, SURF, and Offshore Pipeline projects during pre‑FID phases.
    • Support multiple active pre‑FID projects simultaneously, prioritizing work based on project maturity and decision needs.
    • Evaluate schedule drivers, interfaces, and high‑level risks during early development.
    • Create integrated schedules reflecting alternative contracting and execution strategies.
    • Ensure schedule deliverables meet EM stage‑gate and FID requirements.
    • Review contractor‑submitted schedules for accuracy, constructability, logic, sequencing, critical path, and contractual compliance.
    • Participate in contract bid evaluations.
  • Scenario Development & Schedule Optimization
    • Independently develop, analyze, and compare multiple execution and schedule scenarios.
    • Evaluate sequencing, phasing, contracting strategies, and integration approaches.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize project duration and critical paths.
    • Clearly communicate scenario differences, trade‑offs, risks, and key schedule drivers.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate closely with the Early‑Stage Team, including:
      • SURF Leads
      • FPSO Leads
      • Contracting and Commercial Leads
      • Technical SMEs
    • Interface with Cost & Schedule Engineering to ensure alignment on assumptions, methodologies, and deliverables.
  • Historical Data & Continuous Improvement
    • Leverage historical schedules, execution benchmarks, and lessons learned from prior FPSO and SURF projects.
    • Engage internal subject matter experts and established company contacts to validate assumptions.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of early‑stage planning templates, norms, and reference schedules.
  • Documentation & FID Deliverables
    • Develop and clearly document schedule basis, assumptions, exclusions, and uncertainties.
    • Ensure schedules comply with internal governance standards and FID documentation requirements.
    • Support planning narratives and review packages for management and investment committee reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with offshore developments, particularly FPSO and/or SURF projects.
  • Experience supporting early project phases (Concept, pre‑FEED, FEED)
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
